Hope everyone had a great weekend. I definitely did, and although I missed my screens a bit, I made a point to stash the tech away for a day or two and spend that precious time instead with family and friends. We drove up to the most Northern part of the state, getting outside and enjoying the journey just as much as the time when we arrived.
Our goal was to go straight to Mt. Shasta, but we helped a broken down car and it's owner find its way back to this little town - so we stuck around for a minute to explore.
It was so windy here I had to pull on my favorite windproof and water-resistant Nano Puff® Patagonia Jacket. This jacket is so versatile for any weather elements and stuffs easily in my tiniest handbag, so I'll be wearing it all winter long. Patagonia is one of my all-time favorite brands, mainly because of their continuous efforts in sustainability.
Beautiful scenery, but a little like a ghost town when we didn't see another soul for miles.
When we made it to our destination, we were met with a lovely spread of healthy brain food.
I made green beans.

As we begin to approach this busy time of year, it's important to stop and think about what it is you're thankful for along the way. As I set the technology aside for a bit, and sit down with friends in a Northern wooded area like Mt. Shasta, I'm reminded of this and am grateful for these moments in between the screens.
