Welcoming Spring in with Florals, Goofy Behavior, and a Sneak Peek at a New Device to Match
March 27, 2015
A little bit of fog has been rolling in some warm sunny weather lately. Spring is officially in the air and so are lighter, silky tops like this one from eight sixty. I layered up with a military jacket and pair of comfy strappy sandals. However, funner lighter clothes are not the only thing brought in with the new season. This was the outfit I wore to discover more about a new wearable mobile device running on Firefox OS, something I was dying to see in person as it boasts a different and novel form factor.
After prancercising my way down to a local coffee shop, I was pleasantly surprised to find this new device/phone, small enough to wear, beautiful enough to display, and also just unusual enough to really accommodate my unconventional behavior brought on by spring fever.
More on this to come next post, and yes that is a camera in the center...

Candyland
March 19, 2015
Riding on rainbow bikes across campus the other day, my friend Maddy and I stumbled upon the forest of giant sweets, literal replicas of the Android version names they are called after.
Just like how a little bit of candy goes a long way, so do accessories. I'm a big fan of keeping things minimal and comfortable during a long day, and small accents to a basic work uniform can easily jazz up any basics. I'm still loving these Kimbal frames from Warby Parker, (the color is called Marzipan Tortoise) which I mentioned in an earlier post here.
The busy print in the frames match these basic taupe Mary Jane's I found in a local boutique.
These shoes aren't available online, but you can find some that have a similar look for less from Urban Outfitters here.
So try out some cute or unique accents to dress up a simple outfit, and I hope you have a really sweet day. ;)

Mint Green
March 17, 2015
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Don't forget to don your green threads in honor of this Irish holiday. Today is also a great way to welcome back mint into your wardrobe, and to start thinking about earning a little extra green this season.
I wore this mint green dress to a recent party hosted by Skimlinks - a service that helps you make money and gain insights from your commerce-related content, its perfect for bloggers! Basically, you paste in a url and they figure out the affiliate linking (which is what takes the most time).
Besides myself there were a handful of other bloggers at this event. We toasted with fancy cocktails and listened to some live music, a great way to kick off this new blogging season. Here are a few photos from the event:
Let me know if you try out Skimlinks! I'm curious to hear your thoughts.

This is What Happens When Nerds Take Over 'Da Club'...
March 13, 2015
Earlier this month, Nike Labs hosted 'Game On': an invite-only event targeting rock-stars in the tech industry. It was held in San Francisco's infamous Infusion Lounge, and I was torn in regards to whether I should wear my club outfit or lean towards nerd chic.
I opted with something a little bit in-between.
Normally, the club looks something like this (images via Infusion Lounge):
however on this evening, the bar was open (yes completely open)
and the VIP booths normally reserved for bottle service were replaced with video game centers. Each booth hosted a different system - I got sucked into Super Mario Cart.

The pants are made with quality material and stitching for the durability of denim, but with the coziness of pajamas. They are unbelievably soft and comfy by the way.
I think these pants are a great way to run out of the house for coffee and back without having to change, but I'd probably keep them weekend-exclusive. Check out how Maddy and I recommend wearing them out of the house. I'm sporting a silky pajama top and lightweight down gold jacket from UNIQLO (find it here). With gold sandals that are a stylish accessory to slip on as you're running out the door. Maddy's styling is on her blog here.
I'd highly encourage everyone to back this fun and ethical clothing manufacturer. Read more about Jefferey's project here on Kickstarter. So far they have surpassed their financial goal of 15K to over 18K now (and growing!) and I couldn't be more excited. As Jeffery puts it, this is a "Root to a better world", so let's all get on board and here is to the future of sustainable, local and ethical manufacturing!
California boys.
Dress up the sweats with some classic shoes.
I have mixed feelings about this leopard print shawl with matching necklace....but I like the glasses and cargo pants.
My friend Christina and I got a peek behind the scenes.
